What size should I buy?

Our sizes run XS–3XL and line up with your usual Australian dress size: XS is an AU 6, S an 8, M a 10, L a 12, XL a 14, 2XL a 16 and 3XL an 18.

For the best fit, measure yourself and use the size chart on each product page. Go by your bust measurement for bras and tops, and your hips and waist for undies and bottoms. Our bamboo is soft and stretchy, so it moves with you rather than holding you in.

How do I measure myself?

Use a soft tape measure and keep it level and comfortable, not tight.

Bust: around the fullest part of your bust, across the nipple line, with the tape level across your back.
Waist: around the narrowest part of your waist.
Hips: around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.

Then match your measurements to the size chart on the product page, in cm or inches.

I'm between sizes. Should I size up or down?

For bras and period underwear, we suggest sizing up. For everyday undies, go with the size that matches your hips. If you prefer a closer, more held-in fit in our tops and bandeaus, size down.

How should I wash my HARA pieces?

Cool machine wash on a gentle cycle, ideally inside out in a lingerie bag with similar colours. Line dry in the shade, or lay flat on a towel. Never tumble dry, bleach or use fabric softener.

Hand washing, even in the shower with a gentle shampoo, keeps pieces softest for longest.

What are your pieces made from?

Most of our intimates and loungewear are 90% organically grown bamboo-derived fibre (OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified) and 10% spandex. Our new range is linen. Our everyday underwear isn't cotton, though our period liners include some cotton layers. A few lightweight styles, like the Mila Flares in pale colours, can be slightly sheer.
