Why Bamboo Is Better
For us here at HARA, it has always made sense to create products that are good for our planet and our bodies. When it comes to the consumer, investing in underwear has become a much more conscious, considered decision around the world, which we love! The rise of sustainable & ethical farming alongside production practices within the fabric industry has been impressive (to say the least). With growing technology in this field and well educated consumers, there’s so much we can achieve! So, why do we use Bamboo? So glad you asked!
BENEFITS OF BAMBOO
No pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers are used in the growing of bamboo
Compared to cotton (which uses up to 2700L of water for a single garment) Bamboo relies solely on rainwater
Bamboo crops grows densely meaning the crop doesn’t need vast amounts of land
Absorbing more carbon dioxide than trees, bamboo also produces 30% more oxygen
New stems can be propagated again and again making bamboo one of the most sustainable raw materials in the world
BENEFITS OF HARA PRODUCTS
Extremely hypoallergenic, this is great for people experiencing eczema and/or sensitivities
Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal bio-agent is retained through the fabrication process and many, many washes after
Bamboo fabric is odour resistant, so you can use less products on your skin
Super soft, lightweight and gentle on the skin
Has a neutral charge making it anti-static, no more clinging clothes!
